I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. PSALM 91:2
Here is just a few letters from clients that have adopted our puppies, young and older.

Baxter (l) and Brody (r) Hollis. They both came from us.
Hi Julie-
I wanted to tell you that we all just love Brody, and of course our first springer from you, Baxter.
I don't know if all the puppies from this past litter were all so mellow, but Brody is just a lovable
and mellow puppy. You knew we took a long time to decide to take Brody, especially since I have 5 kids.
I was concerned our household would get out of wack. We had about a 2 week adjustment, but after that
it just became easy. They are the perfect family pets...and with even the most minimal effort
the puppy, Brody is sitting, coming when you call, going outside on direction. He is also my shadow.
He follows me around like a little toddler. And although he will carry things out of our room from time to time, Brody is
not chewing on furniture or having any behaviors like that, which is great.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell anyone out there considering
one of your puppies, they are great dogs and you can really tell, especially getting Brody at 6 months old, that
he was living as part of your family. I can't speak to those that are looking for a dog for hunting or
a dog to show, because our sweeties are just part of the family.
I attached the best picture I've taken of the pair so far. They are as sweet as they look.
Love from our family to yours,
DeAnn Hollis

Hi!
We check out your website every so often and finally thought to send you pics of our wonderful Avery. He has a lot of nicknames like: Shorty, Babyface, Bubba, Buddy... But he comes and listens when we use "Avery".
FYI: Avery loves to go to work every day with his dad (general contractor), and he loves the ocean, grass, and taking baths! He chases our cat Annabell around, but she is still the boss in the house. We are expecting our first baby and know that Avery will be a great big brother and protector. He loves to run and herd and we just love him so much. Our lives are definitely much fuller with him in it.
Just wanted to thank you again. We could tell that he was a loved little guy when he first came to us and he has adjusted very well.
Take care,
Mike and Cheri Lueck (And Avery)

All 3 of the McGinnis girls are from us.
Just wanted to tell you how much me love the girls. They are doing great. Getting big. We are watching Scout this weekend so they are all playing and having a blast. Thank you so much. We are so happy with them they are just so good looking. Roxy is the big girl that does everything and my little Sailor is just so sweet.
They are so smart. We are so happy we got both of them.
Thanks so much,
Brandi McGinnis

This is a letter that the Bentons wrote as a reference to someone buying a puppy from us.
My Wife and I purchased a male Sheltie puppy from Julie & Rod in August of last year. We had recently lost one of our Shelties to leukemia and wanted to get a pure bread Sheltie from a breeder, with papers etc. We didn't want to get a new dog from a pet store as I am sure you know that it's quite unlikely that you'll get a "true bred" since most of their dogs, from what we've learned, come from puppy mills.
Upon doing a lot of searching and research we came across Julie & Long View Family Pets and saw the Shelties that she had for sale.
Upon speaking to Julie, she answered all our questions, provided a wonderful price, written guarantee and papers to register him with AKC, etc. and a micro-chip was placed in our pup for no extra charge! Bailey (That is what we named him) is the BEST dog we have ever purchased from anyone. We had virtually no accidents in our house and he adjusted to crate training immediately after we got him at around 12 weeks of age. He was totally house broken in less than a month, most likely because of how they are taught by Julie when they are puppies and the care she provides them.
We are so pleased with Bailey that we decided to purchase another Sheltie from Julie and are getting her this weekend. Rod & Julie are even delivering her like they did with Bailey. I guess the bottom line, and I am sure what you want to know is that, I would recommend any of their puppies to you or anyone else who were to ask us about our experience and our dogs. Julie is a rare find when it comes to breeding and as a person in general. They are honest, trustworthy and we have recommended them to many other people we know here in the Chicago area that are looking for a pure breed Sheltie!
I hope our experience helps you in your decision, but I'm sure you won't find a better breeder anywhere!
Sincerely,
Jack & Mary Benton
